Baritone Bartolo Musil made his debut at age 12 in a boy soprano lead, studied with teachers such as Walter Berry and Thomas Quasthoff, and has won several international awards.

 

In pivotal roles for his voice type, but particularly as a performer of early and contemporary music, as well as the lied and oratorio repertoires, Bartolo Musil has performed at the Musikverein and Konzerthaus Vienna, the opera houses of Magdeburg, Frankfurt, and Zurich, the Philharmonie and Konzerthaus Berlin, the Innsbruck Early Music Festival, the Great Radio Hall in Vienna, the Chigiana Festival in Siena, and other important European venues.

 

Bartolo Musil has recorded important vocal parts on CD and radio. Furthermore, he works as a composer, artistic researcher, and teacher, and has been appointed as a professor by the University Mozarteum in Salzburg.
